2016-17 International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) - The Standard Course, Part I


Standard Course Part II and the advanced course are taught on alternate years.



Diagnosis and Treatment of Dissociative Disorders

For the past 14 years, Houston has been one of the locations for clinical training of Dissociative Disorders sponsored by the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.

These courses are theory and case-based professional courses taught world wide.

The Part I course is taught in eight monthly two and a half hour sessions between September 2016 and April 2017.

Session topics include Diagnosis, Stabilization and Containment, Attachment Issues, Memory Disturbances, Personality Fragmentation, Transference/Countertransference and Treatment Techniques.

Participants register for the course on the
ISSTD website, which will also provide access to the readings for the eight sessions.

Early registration is recommended. Enrollment is limited.

Sessions will be held on Fridays from 10:30 to 1 pm in the Kirby-West Alabama area.
